Sports Premium Funding

The Government has continued to allocate ring fenced funding directly to primary schools across England, providing them with dedicated resources to use on physical education and sport. The funding is allocated in a lump sum for each school plus a per-pupil top-up mechanism.  The school is dedicated to ensuring that all children benefit from the funding and have planned to use the money as outlined in the School Sports Premium Action Plan.

At Thorley Hill Primary School, we are committed to building on successful practice.  Therefore, the Governing Body will continue to monitor, evaluate and review the impact of the school’s provision to ensure that the funding is being used effectively to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, encourage children to develop healthy lifestyles and enable them to reach the performance levels of which they are capable.
